YOLO

people, jumping, happiness

When we talk about life, we talk about how you get one chance to be the best you. Although while trying to be the best version of ourselves, we sometimes forget who we are, and once that starts happening, we start making excuses. I want to talk a little bit about my fitness journey and how I stopped making excuses and finally got started!

Everyone goes through phases in their life where they aren’t content with how their bodies look, or how their eating habits are. I have always struggled with not feeling like I am enough and with all the growing beauty and fashion trends, it just never felt as if I would ever be. One day I was out shopping, and I tried on a pair of jeans which I absolutely fell in love with but when I put them on, I realized I didn’t feel good in them like I wasn’t deserving enough to wear them. That was the day I decided that it was time to create a new me!

I told myself that life is way too short to sit around and wait for things to happen, we have to act to receive the good or bad consequences. If you don’t do something to improve on the things you think aren’t up to your potential, you aren’t going to see any results. No action = No reaction, kind of like Physics if you ask me! Now little by little, day by day, I started to get the willpower to get up and do something: go on more walks, be more productive (anything to get me up and moving). But I was still saying “oh I’ll work out more tomorrow,” or “because I ate a piece of pizza today I’ll exercise double tomorrow!” What I wasn’t understanding was that what if there isn’t going to be a tomorrow? What if I wake up the next day and the world is falling apart? Well someday we are going to wake up and there will be no tomorrow, so what we have is NOW! My parents always say, “Joh karna hai ajj karo, kal ka kabhi kuch pata nahi hota,” which translates (Hindi) to, “do whatever you want to do today because we don’t know if there will be a tomorrow.” Reach your goals whether it be cooking the best crème Brulee to, “I want to gain muscle and lose weight.” I mean you only get one chance to be the healthiest version you can of yourself; a healthy you is a happy you!

The main idea in “Stop Wasting your life,” by Prince EA, is literally the title of the video! Stop. Wasting. Your. Life. You live for too little so stop wasting the little time you have left by saying ill do it tomorrow, or ill be happier once I do this or that, ill work out tomorrow because I’d rather rest today. With the small time you have left, you make excuses or take more stress than necessary. Sometimes even I make things way harder than they need to be or overthink things when I should just live in the moment. This is what Prince is trying to tell us: YOLO

In conclusion, all I am trying to say is take a chance, get up and “GO, GO, GO, GO, on an adventure, your thingamajigger is up and ready to take you wherever your heart desires!”

YOU

ONLY

LIVE

ONCE

  1. May I simply just say what a relief to find someone who truly understands what they are discussing on the web. You definitely understand how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people ought to check this out and understand this side of your story. Its surprising you arent more popular because you definitely have the gift.

  3. That is the proper blog for anyone who wants to search out out about this topic. You understand so much its nearly arduous to argue with you (not that I truly would need…HaHa). You positively put a brand new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Great stuff, simply great!
